Bug Fixing

webalizer

I started looking at webalizer for bugs that are easy to fix.

• proposed a fix for debian_bts:311340 and debian_bts:333801. No patch since this is a configuration file issue.
• proposed a patch for debian_bts:293794

Misc

• debian_bts:synaptic : Proposed a patch to debian_bts:334168
• Work needed prospective package rt2570 debian_bts:339599. I need it for my Conceptronic C54RU card! (the packaged package works for me)

Hacking

Virtualisation

Forget about using user mode linux or xen to use a virtual machine for testing purposes. Use virtualbox. I could install a debian stable in a few minutes.

X11 runs nicely and quite fast without the specific driver. Installing the specific X driver is easy with a little help from http://www.backports.org/. You just have to read README.Debian and do what it tells (run a perl script). It is much more faster (I can see no difference with the host) with the X driver.
