I'm not a debian developper, but as Debian is free software, I am able to try and help myself when I need something to be done.

I started looking at webalizer for bugs that are easy to fix.
Forget about using user mode linux or xen to use a virtual machine for testing purposes. Use virtualbox. I could install a debian stable in a few minutes.
X11 runs nicely and quite fast without the specific driver. Installing the specific X driver is easy with a little help from http://www.backports.org/. You just have to read README.Debian and do what it tells (run a perl script). It is much more faster (I can see no difference with the host) with the X driver.
