IPFM missing a lot of packets

IPFM is monitoring the ethernet card of router but missing a lot of packets. I have checked with iptraf on the other side of link. I have seen that sometimes (every 5-10 secs) PCAP_NEXT, in the GETNEXTIPPKT function, return NULL so the code execute a error secuence with 2 seconds of sleep, then restart the capture.
